Ok, so after months and months of trying to think up storylines and possible characters for a webcomic I have finally come to the conclusion of doing a webcomic based around gamers of mmorpgs in a virtual world. And honestly this came to me after watching SAO (Sword Art Online). Before I came to this conclusion tho I was having difficulty deciding on going with a futuristic storyline or a medieval fantasy. After realizing that I could do something like SAO's universe I thought "Why not have both? Cause I can have multiple "games" that the characters play." The only downside to this That I can really see is coming up with a storyline that makes you feel something for the characters. If I go the route of SAO then it'll just look like I'm knocking off of something already popular, which I don't want to do, but at the same time I can't really think of any other way to make the reader care about the game characters without directly threatening the "real" characters life. As of right now I have the basics of basics for the first game, and a few other minor details for the story, like the virtual headset. With any luck I can come up with a good storyline that doesn't get too close to anything already out on the market. But I will start designing characters for TRUview, my webcomic, next month so expect to see alot more work coming from me once feb starts. Hopefully I can get TRUview started by June or July. Would love to hear some input from anyone who has any.
Oh and lastly if anyone wants a character in it, which I doubt, mainly because of my lack of comitment as of late, let me know.
